I am looking for a reliable strawberry cake filling that will hold up in a fondant cake for a few days. I looked at all of the recipes on here and none stated how long they hold up. Any suggestions. Thanks so much in advance!
I use this recipe for multiple fruits. I just buy the fruit frozen and follow the recipe. Have done raspberry, strawberry, pineapple, and blueberry this way. Works great and always get rave reviews with these fillings.
Thank you. That looks perfect. Have you ever done it without straining the fruit out? Or maybe adding fresh fruit back in?
I don't strain the fruit. I tried it once but it doesn't bother me with the seeds, and my customers haven't ever had the strained version so they don't know any different
I haven't added fresh fruit back in before, but I would imagine you can, will just cut down on the length of time your filling is actually good for.
