Frosting Recipe Needed, Please Help
Baking By ohiocakedesign Updated 21 Apr 2010 , 6:34pm by Rose_N_Crantz
Hi! I am looking for a frosting recipe similar to the one that Walmart uses. We call it like a cool whip frosting, similar to cool whip, but not. It is very fluffy. I hope this makes sense. I have had people request this to be used and I thought this would be the best place to ask. I really love this forum and all the ideas are so great! Thank you!!!!
Thanks for the lead to purchase the frosting!
I am hoping to be able to make it myself as the nearest Sam's to me is over an hour away and I am sure it would be more cost effective.
I would make sure to call before you go out there. Here where I live if it is their busy season they won't sell it since they need it to meet orders. I would also look into a local bakery distributor that is where I buy mine. They sell to bakeries as well as the public.
I've used this one and it's pretty good tasting. It's pricey though at almost $5 a box. The Sam's one would be more price effective. What is the one at Sam's called? Anyone know?
Wilton has a whipped cream boxed mix for frosting. I've seen it at Walmart.
The whipped frosting Sam's uses is called Bettercream. It's made by Rich's and you can purchase it online, whipped or unwhipped.
You can just google "Rich's Bettercream" and you should be able to find something.
And note, the spelling of bettercream was intentional.
