Hi all,

I found a recipe on here which looks and sounds wonderful! if anyone has tried it please let me know:

http://cakecentral.com/recipes/7294/key-lime-cake-with-key-lime-buttercream

I am looking for a good key lime cake that is dense enough to withstand stacking & carving. As you all know the cake box mixes alone are just too soft.

Id love to hear your thoughts about the above recipe or any others you've tried!

thanks so much!!

Hi, sorry I didn't reply sooner - but I have tried this recipe and it's WONDERFUL - I filled it with the easy raspberry filling and frosted with BC - my son and his fiance' have asked for this to be the bottom layer of their wedding cake HTH

I used the WASC version of key lime - nice light key lime taste, used white chocolate butter cream and key lime curd. Although that key lime BC looks really good. I think I'll have to try that!
