I've posted a hundred times about these cupcakes I'm making, lol, but I still need some help.

I've decided to tint the buttercream red, then add black icing color to the decorating bag to make the icing look swirled with both colors.

Will that be okay, taste wise? I'm more concerned with people eating awful buttercream than the colors not working out right.

I would up the flavoring extracts a little to compensate for any color flavor you might get with such intense colors--- caution- both red and black stain teeth - a lot!
