I am guessing a couple of trees (modeling chocolate?) on maybe a 9x13? Maybe have one of the trees on a hill or something? What would you use for the zip line? I guess it doesn't have to be edible, I could use fishing line or something....Hmmmmmmmmmm

Any other ideas??

Thanks!

Forgive my ignorance but what's a zip line?

What about using black licorice (sp?). Out here you can get it in strings and it comes in a bag. It would have the "bend" that a real zip line does but it may be too thick.

what about taking that 9x13 and then putting a wonder mold cake on it split in half vertically as in diagram.

use large pretzel rods for main trees that zip line is on. use pretzel sticks for other trees (or fondant cutouts)

and licorice lace (the kind that looks like a really long string -- some come as long as 2 more feet -- available in lots of gas station and truck stop stores) as the zip line.

make little guy out of fondant or gumpaste or for cute kid drawing effect of of pretzel sticks

Here is a link to the wikipedia answer... icon_smile.gif

And I thought about licorice, but would it be strong enough to hold a person made of fondant? My little people tend to be quite hefty.... icon_biggrin.gif

Wow Doug! Thanks for the detailed diagram! I think I might do something like that, but I don't have that exact pan... I could always just do another cake and cut it in half, stack and carve into a hill shape...

Thanks for the ideas!

bake two rounds (10" = 5" tall hill or 12" = 6" tall hill)

then cut into quarters.

stand the quarters ON EDGE -- right next to each other.

four at each end. -- instant rounded hill

of course if they have a cracked sense of humor.....

the person could be lying on the ground having fallen off (shade so of me!)

or it could even by a broken egg shell with a painted face, clothes -- after all Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.

----------------

oooo.....could take and egg and blow it out so empty but still in one piece.

and then make that into the person on the zip line -- very light weight and funny to boot (humpty pre-fall!)

ooo...

or bunch of eggs crushed under the line....

one whole one dangling by just one hand from line.

Hope you have a smashing eggcellent birthday!
