Any ideas on how to make fondant either glow in the dark or glow with a black light? Does anyone know of anything that can be added or brushed on top? It's for a "black on black" themed party. Everyone will be in black with birthday girl being in bright colors. It will be in the basement of a bar, and I'm looking for something to make theblack and pink cake stand out like the birthday girl. Any ideas??

You can get glow in the dark body paint that is not completely edible but is non toxic. You could maybe paint a cake topper or the cake board with it, then at least you won't poison anyone!!

Will be great if you can pull it off!

Let us know how you get on

Tonic water contains quinine which luminesces under black light. You can mix tonic water with piping gel to create a piping medium that will luminesce under black light.

I'd do a little experimenting...
Use the tonic water to make Jello. Brush it on the fondant while still half gelled.
(That works when making Jello shots.)

might not be the first approach, but...spencers gifts stores carry glow in the dark and neon (which glows in black light) edible body paint that would probably work. since its edible i dont see what would hurt. check the ingredients on it. the tonic water was used on the super hero cake challenge where the team made some sort of praying mantis super hero chick and used the tonic water to make it glow.
