I have preordered my Cricut Cake. Never used a Cricut before so I know nothing about it. I'm sure I have a lot to learn. I do plan on getting either SCAL or Make the Cut, but that will be have to be something I master after I learn the basics of using the machine.

Saw in the latest Michaels ad that Cricut cartridges are half price without a coupon. I thought it might be a good idea to stock up on some but have no idea as to what I should buy. Those suckers are expensive even at half price so I want to make good choices.

Does anyone have certain ones that they love and use now for cake decorating with their current Cricut? If it makes any difference, I am a hobbyist not a professional and I don't plan on trying to cut paper with my machine. I would appreciate any input or suggestions.

Thanks!

Kim

I haven't really checked out the regular Cricut cartridges, but in looking at the cake ones, the only one that I found interesting was the elegant cake one.
