I am making a sheet music topper and need to write on fondant to create the lines of music. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Food grade marker. If you are in the US, they are readily availble anywhere Wilton products are sold. Or you can paint with black food coloring gel thinned with flavoring extract or vodka.

I use Royal Icing or or how about using edible images??
You can also use tapits, they have a music one....
Also I have been known to take my daughters music books & trace the notes/lines then place them onto fondant/gumpaste and cut it out from there.

I have thought about using the edible markers, but do they bleed into the fondant? Is there a specific brand you would recommend?

Americolor food markers are better than Wilton....

Paint it on. We used paints (mod edited for content) to paint on fondant without any bleeding.
