I am trying to figure out what colors can I put together to achieve the color of eggplant. I have to use it for fondant. I have americolor gel on hand. I just can't get it to get that dark or deep. The other color I need will be a lavender of sorts. I am thinking I just use some regal purple mixed in the white fondant to achieve that color.

Thanks

Try experimenting with a very small piece of fondant. I would get the darkest purple you can get and then try adding black.

Same here. I just use purple and add a bit of black until it looks right. Sometimes you have to add a lot of dye to get those really deep colors.
