Michelin Man Cake - Any Ideas?

Just got a request for a Michelin man cake, lol. I think it's a great idea, but they want a 3d cake and I'm at a loss on how to make it structurally secure. My only though is to do a round cake and then make him out of rkt and cover in fondant. That way he can at least stand on top. Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks!

Could you perhaps do him with his legs together? Make a stack of round cakes for the main body and add the seperate leg detailing on after?

Also I did a quick google search and found this, maybe you could do somethign along these lines?
