I have been looking all over for cake/filling combos and have found some great ideas, but I am a little confused. Would most of these fillings need refiger. and if they are in a fondant covered cake that is not possible. So how is it everyone is offering creams and mousses and whips etc. Do they not need to be chilled. I want to add some new flavor combos but don't want to end up with spoiled filling.

I'm not a fondant user myself but I have seen DOZENS of posts on here where people DO refrigerate their fondant cakes with no problems. Just a thought.

i`m thinking of making a mickey mouse cake for my grandaughter, and i never worked with fondant before so i decided to try a small cake just to get the feeling of working with fondant and i put a filling in the cake and i did refrigerate it and i hade no problem with it. as a matter of fact my husband enjoyed it with his tea,
