I need a receipe for a wedding cake for a bride that is almost deathly ill with lactose products. I usually use a box mix, and didn't know if it had lactose products in it. Please help if you have a receipe or have any helpful information.
THANKS!

I googled lactose free cake recipe and this website came up:
http://dairyfreecooking.about.com/od/occasionscollections/tp/BirthdayCakes.htm

There were a bunch of other websites that came up as well. It seems she's basically asking for a dairy free cake.

I once had a client who needed dairy, soy and egg free cake. Basically she needed a vegan cake. Just google Vegan recipes, there are tons of websites out there. I never read so many labels in my life! I learned quite a bit though.

The box mixes will say "milk" or "lactose" on the ingredients list. Some boxes have milk in them, some do not.

You can search for "dairy-free" recipes, or just go vegan.
