I work at a healthcare facility and would like to do a more old fashioned design for the volunteers luncheon this year since most of our volunteers are seniors. They don't care for overly sweet things so I believe SMBC would be a hit.

I've tried to finds pics on google and have searched/read several of the forums here on CC but can't find exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm newer to cake decorating and have used SMBC twice with success but did not put heavy decorations on the sides of the cakes. Since it's soft, will it hold a swag with royal icing flowers?

Don't quote me, but I thought I heard you can't put royal icing decorations on smbc - something about melting them.
