Hello -

I'm going to be doing a bouquet cake for Easter and will be using orange Gerber Daisies as my flower of choice. I would like to get the arranged flower look, but have never used flower wire before. Do I need to wrap the wire before putting into my cake to make it food safe? Will the wire work with Gerber Daisies since there is technically no base cone to start with?

I haven't done a lot of flower work thus far, so your advice would be appreciated!

yeah... you need to make sure the wire is either already wrapped (florist tape) ir you wrap it yourself...

and you can dry the center of the gerbera daisy standing on a wire... here is a link to a tutorial explaing just that....
