Hey guys

I am have a luau theme bday party for myself and I would like to make myself a cake that looks like a big drink like those grande margaritas or frozen drinks that you get in the restaurant in those huge glasses with the great color liquor and ice and umbrella . I want it to look like a real upright standing glass but I have no idea where to begin.

Does anyone know of any tutoruals or videos or have any tips on how to make this type of cake and the ice cubes? Any advise will be great thanks!

That sounds like a super cute theme! Did you search the galleries? There are tons of "ice cube" cakes there and also upright margaritas. You would have to carve the actual cake. The ice cubes would be could use Rock Candy! thumbs_up.gif For the salt around the rim, you'd use sugar or sugar crystals. Martini cake Margarita cake Another margarita My fav! icon_biggrin.gif
