anybody have a good link about how to cover ball shape cake in fondant?

is it the whole3-D ball using the ball pan, or only half a ball? if it's the half, i crumb coat in bc then place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes while i roll out fondant. then, place then cake ontop of a large vegetable can so when the cake is draped in fondant, i can trim it and smooth it. if you're doing the complete 3-D ball, pretty much the same, but a lot of smoothing and make the fondant thicker so it doesn't stretch as much.

its the whole 3-ball, using the wilton sports ball pan. thats a very good tip toplace the cake on a can and drape it. icon_smile.gif thank you
