I just got an e-mail from The Knot, and one of the "new trends" in wedding cakes is buttercream!!! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

I'm so, so glad to hear it! (Not that anyone would ever trust me to do their wedding cake, but I can always dream, can't I?)

New? "trend"? You mean all of those buttercream cakes I did over the last 30 years were not "in"?

I'm shocked. icon_eek.gif

I'm amazed. icon_surprised.gif

I'm not surprised that those who run wedding magazines are so out of the loop that they don't know brides have been ordering BC cakes for DECADES.

Not decades AGO ..... but FOR decades. dunce.gif

I agree Deb..........I did my first all fondant cake on Saturday, and what a pain! I never get requests for anything BUT BC, and I thought that this one, based on the design would have looked better in fondant.......I think it turned out OK, but I think it would have been better and easier for me in BC.

That's a cool cake, though, Kerri! icon_smile.gif
