Help! I need some advice! I am doing an Alvin & the CHipmunks bday cake, and I am making Alvin on top out of RKT........so, the problem I have, is how do I make his face look "hairy"?????
Here is a pic of what I have so far........(don't laugh..ok?)
And yes, I am going to re-do the eyes..........

Thanks!

Maybe make some flocking out of the correct color?
Whirr your coconut, nuts, etc in a blender until fine, and then put on the wet surface of your cake.
That would give you a texture similar to a stuffed toy.

I saw another post where someone mentioned using candy melts to make the fur look. The Elmo cake that person did looked really good with the "fur". HTH

Go to You Tube and type in Confetti Cakes. She has a video showing her sculpting a shaggy dog. She does a great job showing how she gets the realistic fur. Hope this helps!
