I just received all of my goodies (printer, ink, and frosting sheets). Can't wait to use them. I had problems getting the ink tanks into the machine but with a little help from a fellow CC'er and Icingimages (where I purchased my ink) they are now in. Now my problem is that the tank lights are not lit up (they never were). The chips came on the edible ink tanks so I couldn't screw anything up there. I did do a print alignment and it did work. Do the lights need to be lit up? I sound so dumb and I used to work in the technology dept. at a school. I just hate the idea of screwing up my new machine. Any help is appreciated.

TIA

I havea the ip3400, which I would imagine is very similar. The lights go on when the cartridges are EMPTY, so be grateful your lights are off. icon_smile.gif

That said, my particular model has no use for one of the black tanks, so the light is on all the time and I've had to 'instruct' the printer to print without it.
