I am going to be doing cupcakes for a wedding. Will likely be choc with vanilla buttercream with maybe some simple fondant flower on top. What should I be charging for the cupcake? Is it per person? I think they are having about 125 people? Any advise on basic cupcake pricing would be appreciated. Thanks!

Charge per cupcake. Call the bakeries in your area (not groc. store bakeries! call independent bakeries) and ask what they charge, as prices vary depending on where you live.

Similar to the "per serving" price you normally charge.

I agree, an independent bakery-the grocery store bakeries here in Ia charge .99 for a swirl of icing-crazy!! I do think they are quick and easy-very stress free. A swirl is SO much less stress than a design and a piped message!!!!
