My son will be adopting his wife's child. I would like to make a cake for the family celebration. I can not think of what design, decoration I should do on it. The girl is 12 years old and I just can't think of what to do.
Any suggestions would be apreciated.

yes i agree i would focus on the family aspect. did they have a recent fun vacation. or do they enjoy a hobby together as a family.
you could also do a edible image with the entire family on it.

Why not put an edible image of the daughter inside the symbol of adoption (the triangle in the heart)?
