Alright so I've been using gumpaste for ahh well about a week now My wife and I are making our sons 1 year old birthday cake and it's jungle theme. My wife made the monkey on the left and I made the one on the right. She wasn't home today to aid me through the process so it's not nearly as clean as hers, anywho. Enjoy!

I think that they look great as well, and I am right there with ya...I am just starting to mess with gumpaste and I think that I really like it for flowers but I am not so sure that I have the talent to create figurines and animals and stuff like that!

Very cute, nice work... What a fun project for the two of you. For some reason the monkey on the right (your monkey?) looks just a bit like a hippotamus, just the head shape... maybe it is just my computer....
