Sometimes I think (and this may not be the case here) that people post these "I'm so disappointed in my cake" threads just to get compliments. Clearly this cake is awesome!

I can say in all honesty that I was NOT looking for compliments when I posted about being disappointed. The image *is* off-center (you can't see it so much in the pic).

Imperfections don't bother me so much but I wanted this cake to be absolutely perfect because I was the one presenting the cake to my nephew at his party (in front of all of my family and a ton of friends). My hockey cake was a little crooked as well, but it didn't bug me because it was a birthday cake and I know that I'll make lots more of those for him in the future, but you only have one bar mitzvah in life.
