I added my cell and business number to the ad...OMG I have been flooded with text messages from people wanting to know if Im hiring.

I will have to call Monday to the paper to get them to remove my cell number.

Unbelievable.

Perhaps you can amend the ad to say "Thank you for your interest, but we are NOT currently hiring new staff".

People actually send texts asking for employment, instead of calling? Wow. I might be old-fashioned, but I wouldn't hire someone who texted me!

I wont hire at all like that.
I just deleted the texts.
