Hi all this is a bit of a brag!
As most of you know, I will be starting my local farmers market soon.
But before I even open, I have people lining up to order stuff!!! I sold over 5 1/2 dozen cake balls to a friend of mine this week, and I have another 2 dozen to make before i leave on my trip, plus a friend of hers also ordered a cookie bouquet!!
I knwo it isnt alot, but I was doubting myself, the before openeing jitters I guess, but this has just made me feel so much better!
Also, I got into another farmers market, so now I will be open 2 days a week!!!!
Sorry for this guys but YAY FOR ME!!!
*Yay for you* - hell you got that right
Great news Sweetheart - so glad to hear everything is ticking along for you - excellant.
It is onwards and upwards for you from now on -
You won't have time for jitters or nerves

Happy to read of your success.

That's fantastic!!! Definitely a huge yay!!
I'm in Edmonton, and I'm wondering if you had looked into getting licensed at all? Or is that the reason you're farmer's markets, because you wouldn't have to be licensed? It's killing me that I'd need a whole seperate kitchen to really be able to sell, and I'm curious how you're approaching it?
right now, i live in an apartment, so we cant afford that, so to start off I am only selling at the farmers markets. Then when we buy a house, and i save up some money I would liek to get a store front, or even just open up in my house.
HTH
Ya we're in an apartment too. Well good luck, I'd love to hear how the farmer's markets go!!
"Sorry for this guys but YAY FOR ME!!!"
? Sorry? For what? It is great to hear good news. There is an old Asian proverb: "joy shared is doubled, grief halved". Thanks for allowing us to sharing your excitement! Best wishes!!
I'm sooooooooo excited for you!!!!
(I know how you feel -- our church has no money, so I was going to sell Valentine cookies in the parlor to contribute to the budget. People started calling the office a week prior asking if they could buy them early, because they were going to be out of town. I was elated!!)
do you bake out of your home? I also live in an apartment but had to rent a commercial kitchen to get farmer's market approval.
yes i do, and here (just outside edmonton) I didnt need to get a commercial kitchen for the farmers market
