I have the baby mold from first impressions. For the life of me, I can't get its head out of the mold without crushing it. What am I doing wrong?

I don't have that mold but I have had luck by putting the molds in the freezer and then trying to pop the gumpaste out of the mold.

I always put shortening in the mold first then stick in my gumpaste/fondant. Then yes, like Jenn2179 said, stick it in the fridge or freezer and then pop it out.

Hi there, purchased the baby mold a couple of months ago I have a pic on my profile. That was my first try. I always put it in the freezer for about 15-20 min and then, when I take it out I bend it and take the head out first gently. Are you using fondant?

I put the mold in the freezer for about 10 min. and the figure popped right out. Thanks.
