I want to make a cookie cake for my dd's 11th bday. She gave up cake for Lent and I want her to still have something special.

I thought about ordering one of those double decker cookie cakes from the Cookie Company but I always make my kids' bday cakes.

Can anyone share a tried and true recipe for a cookie cake and any tips on baking?

I use the Toll House CC cookie recipe and when spead in a bar pan, they are good but they are much "cakier" than the cookie company's cakes.

I use the pillsbury premade logs for mine. just have to watch them bake to get the right consistancy.

I use my regular chocolate chip cookie recipe and bake in my cake pan. Just watch it carefully so you don't over cook it.
