Need to make a treasure chest cake next week and don't know if I should make the lid out of RKT or cake. Any success or disaster stories to share?? How do you best prop up the lid? Any help or hints would be MUCH APPRECIATED!!

I would make the decision on whether you want the chest opened or not. if you want it closed with coins falling out, i would just use cake and cut a slit where i would stick coins in it. If you want it open I would use RKT.

I have written instructions of what I did to make my treasure chest cake with open rkt lid. It's not a photo tutorial but a brief step by step that I did for another member.
