What coloring do you recommend for royal? I made some cute little ladybugs today, but they tasted bitter b/c I had to use so much red coloring to get them the color I wanted icon_sad.gif I used ameri-color...

Personally, I think Americolour is still your best choice. Did you colour red and use right away? With blacks and reds, it's best to make ahead a day or two in advance. Don't overcolour - just to a nice bright pink. Chances are, when you wake up in the a.m. it'll be a deep red - and not bitter. The other thing is, I'm not sure if Americolour does a no-taste red, but Wilton does. Good luck!

I add some extra almond extract to hide the bitter taste. I use the artificial as DH is allergic to almonds.

Thank you! I did use it right away. I added a little almond extract, which helped a little. Both tips should help my 'bitter' situation. Thanks again thumbs_up.gif
