what is the best food coloring when making brown?

i either use wilton or americolor. i like either one. i do not use chocolate to make brown. some people don,t like the taste of chocolate. or can be allergic to chocolate. so i just always use dk. brown color.hth

I use Wilton Brown with a touch of Wilton Red-Red. Makes a deeper, richer brown.
