yes (mostly for the bigger jobs) and I use my old fashioned wooden one too (for small jobs) cause it's right in my kitchen and easy to access...

PVC for me also in 3 different sizes - 2 1/2" for rolling out fondant for covering cakes, 1 1/2" about 10" long for fondant decorations and 1" about 6" long for gumpaste. Cheap and I get all the sizes I need.

The rolling pin I use the most is my wooden French pin. I also have a smaller plastic one that I use for gumpaste.

I mostly use a straight wooden french rolling pin, but I keep around PVC in varying lengths and width for other jobs.
