Ok I need help, my buttercream has jsut too much butter taste
I used 4 sticks and 3 (2lbs confet sugar)
I used whipping cream
vanilla extract
it doesn't have a pop taste to me, it tastes bland to me
That is A LOT of butter....... I use half butter and half solid shortening....... water instead of the cream, and almond instead of the vanilla for white icing........ for Chocolate, I use the vanilla........ I also add a dash of salt..... seems to cut the sweetness...
My recipe uses 2 sticks of butter for 2 lbs of powdered sugar.
That is a lot of butter!
