Very good article--

I had to laugh a little because when I'm reviewing the contract with the client and get to the part about payment 2 weeks in advance, I always tell them "Because we don't bake unless we're paid to!" EVERY SINGLE CLIENT says "Well, duh"

thanks, interesting that 50/50 or 60/40 is the standard. I agree with Jamie, 40/60

Love this quote: Im not chasing you down for a dang thing if you see me and my team at an event, trust & believe weve been PAID.

She took the words right outta my mouth icon_lol.gif

Not that I want anyone else to deal with nutty clients, but it does make you feel a little better when you're reminded that cakers aren't the only ones people try to pull the "My event will give you so much 'free' advertising" stuff on icon_rolleyes.gif
