Having read on here and googled a bit this machines look fab. I struggle with piping so would make lettering really easy, I think.

Can someone explain
1. do you need a specific cake one or will any cricut work with fondant?
2. I read you simply roll out the fondant put it on the mat, and put it through the machine, is it that simple?

thanks for any advice x

If you do a search on this site for "Cricut" there are several threads that explain the process. Any cricut will work but you do need a deep cup housing and blade. You also need the right consistency of fondant/gumpaste to make it work. Linda McClure has a wonderful DVD explaining the whole process.

I have read through most of the threads and did not see this questions specifically addressed. Does the Cricut Personal allow you to use the SCAL program?

This thread suggests getting the personal and then using the SCAL program.
