OK so I have a friend who LOVES my cakes. She comes to me anytime she needs a cake. Not a problem. This is a hobby for me. So anyway her daughters first birthday is coming up and she wants Hey Diddle Diddle as the cake theme. Fine not a problem, Cat, dog and cow cupcakes? Nope Cow on the smash cake, and cat, dog and DISH cupcakes. OK cute. How to turn a cupcake into a dish? I'm thinking I could do buttercream on the top and then run a rose tip around the edge for the side of the plate? And then gray buttercream spoon on the plate?

Any other ideas? Not in a rush but I need to make a practice cake/cup cake soon to make sure I can do it!

Thanks
Merry

Fondant or gum paste or even chocolate. Or rolled butter cream made firmer to mold with. That way it would be softer to the little one.
