So..my mom's birthday is Thursday, I'm making a cake for a client that I'm do deliver on Sunday...I babysit my 3 yo nephew on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays....and my brother has CAT tests this week (he is homeschooled)

Since I'm not gonna have a whole lot of time to make cakes and frosting on the morning I need them like I normally do (my creativity is best that way)...I'm wondering how far in advance can I make cakes and frosting and it still be good. I'm planning on using my regular frosting to ice the cake and royal icing to decorate.

Can I make my moms cake tomorrow and it still be fresh-tasting on thursday?

Sure icon_biggrin.gif You're only talking about two days and cake will definitely keep that long.

That's what I was thinking but I wanted to double check. I plan on trying royal icing the Krispy Kreme logo. I hope it works because the cake I'm making for the other lady I'm planning on doing high heel shoes with royal icing flooding. (is that what you call it?)
