I want to make a 3D fish tank cake, but I want it to be as realistic as possible with just a bottom out of sheet cake and then 4 sides that you can see through so that I can make 3D fish and coral to put inside. I just don't know what to use to make the 4 walls. Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be really cool if i could make them out of something edible. And this cake is going to be around children so it has to be safe..nothing sharp. Please help!

Thanks

Why don't you just buy a cheap fish tank. You can get a ten gallon tank pretty cheap.

hi! buddy just did a cake like this on cake boss last week. see if u can go on youtube to find the link. it was pretty awesome! a large sheet cake with a real aquarium/fish in the back. he made some coral using isomalt and the team made different animals (sea turtle, shark, etc.) and fish from fondant/gum paste. they kept the cake in buttercream, no fondant, to make a more realistic view.
