im a big sister (i volunteer for big brother/big sister) and i took her to an orchard today-for those living in connecticut, its lymons orchard in middlefield, to their valentines day cake decorating contest.

OMG it was so much fun. there were about 25 kids, and they had the best set up! i sooooo wanted to decorate a cake and use their professional stuff. but it was just for the kids.

im so proud of my little sister. she has been learning to bake with me, and this was the first time she did anything like this.
so many people commented on how good her cake came out.
she was thrilled and i couldnt have been happier for her.
and yes, just a tad bit jealous.

cant wait to go to their next holiday cake decorating.
anyone living near the orchard should definately check it out!

yes it was a blast.
and - omg- this is so wierd to admit, but as soon as we walked into their back room where everything was set up. i got these strange chills and seriously found my happy place. LOL
i could have stayed there all day looking and playing with all their stuff.
they really need to offer this to adults!!! hahahahahaha.
i love being a big sis, after 15 years as a girl scout leader, its nice to have one-on-one time with a little. we are having so much fun together.
