The powdered egg whites I purchase are found in the supermarket bakery isle. The brand name is DEB EL. My health department is fine with them.

a few years ago, before being interested in cake decorating. It was for recipes I was trying while on a diet...sadly the can outlasted the diet, but that's another story .

(They have great customer service & flat shipping, which is great. Each can is equal to 255 lg. whites)

Just an update. I faxed in my recipe for smbc and got a call within 10 minutes that it was approved. So in VA there is no restriction on smbc obviously
