Water Spots On Fondat Cut Outs From Steamer Help!!

So i have a wedding tomorrow which i am making cupcakes for. I have cutout monograms of fondant with the initials on them i used my steamer and it left water spots how do I get rid or cover those? i would use luster dust but im afraid the water spots will hold more luster dust that the other spots any ideas please!!

The only way to get rid of them once they've dried is to re-steam them and hope that the steamer produces a fine mist this time, rather than spitting.

Sometimes, if they're fresh water dots, if you hit them immediately with cornstarch, you can minimize the marks.
