I am brand new to cake decorating and was wondering if there was a technique to making letters/numbers with fondant or if they are typically made with a cut-out. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I use cookie cutters to make my letters and numbers...some just make them from rolling fondant into snakes and then forming them into letters ..it just deoends the look you are after.

Love the tappits! I also like hand rolling tapered snakes of fondant and forming giant numbers with wavy and swirly ends.
