I am making a sheet cake with a piece of fondant in the shape of Florida covering most of the top of the cake. Should I decorate it with highway/roads/symbols/city names before or after I place it on the cake? I am inclined to put all of the symbols on before it is placed on the cake but I am affraid that it might break if I don't put it on right away. What would you do? Thanks

I would put on the cake THEN add the details.
