I don't have any gumpaste so i have to make the spout and handle out of fondant. How can i make them hold up so that they hold their shape and weight and don't break? How can i attach them to the cake so that they don't fall off? Thanks so much for any advice!! icon_smile.gif

Which fondant are you using? If it is MMF, you really need some gumtex or tylose in there, it won't ever dry hard enough. If you are in a pinch, you can use the powder that is used to stick dentures in your mouth (just make sure you tell folks not to eat them! - it is not toxic, but I am sure it won't taste too good) They need a couple of days to dry. I turn mine over a few times so that each side has a chance to dry out too. I use toothpicks to hold it in a cake. Make sure that you put them in where there is going to be CAKE (not the filling part!) I use 2 toothpicks for each piece.
