I have someone who wants a round cake for a 16th bday. Am planning to do strips down the cake with a 16 on top and maybe some stars on wire.

She wanted pink & lemon, I am not sure if this would look right. What do you think?
I wasnt sure whether to do a lemon cake with pink stripes or a white cake with pink & lemon stripes but still wondering if this would look right.

Should I just go for white with pink stripe, the 16, some stars and hope she likes it?

I think this sounds like an awesome color combo. Maybe a light pink and a little darker pink with a bright yellow. Whichever way you choose to do it, the colors will be great.

I would like to suggest a lemon curd filling with raspberry preserves if you want to tie in the flavor with the colors. It is a really yummy combination.
