I am venturing out into making gumpaste flowers. Is marshmallow fondant with tylose in it the same as gumpaste made from a recipe?

Thanks for your help. I just make cakes occasionally but really enjoy the challenge of trying new things. You guys are just amazing with helping out a novice with questions.

Yes and no. The end result will be the same...but whether you use gumpaste or fondant with tylose....the tylose will make it harden quicker. I put tylose in both of them when I am making flowers. Just remember that gumpaste will not have the good flavor that fondant will. Be careful cause if you add to much, they will dry to fast, crack and you won't be able to work with them quick enough!
