Gumpaste Edible???

I've heard it is and isn't what are your thoughts?

Technically it is edible, it's made of all edible ingredients. Personally, I wouldn't eat it because it dries very hard and crispy and I don't find that pleasant. Not to be confused with fondant, which is just great.

Yes, gum paste is edible.

Technically, it isn't edible if it's supported by wires or toothpicks (choking hazards), has floral stamens put in it, or has been colored with non-edible dusts or coloring.

My gum paste+fondant figures are supported by dry spaghetti, so I tell people that they are edible--while reminding them of the small bits of spaghetti.

Yes is edible, but is I wouldnt eat it.
