Thanks. They are fresh flowers from the grocery store (shhhhh, don't tell the bride). It was shaking like a jello tower on the drive over, and so was I!! I'm so glad it's over.
WOW!!
Where were you 10 years ago when I got married? This cake is everything I wish my wedding cake had been ... down to the flowers, desgin, and colors!!!
Stunning

Haha! You are all too kind. It is all buttercream. Phew... I really need to start doing fondant. Thanks for all the nice comments. I really couldn't have done it without all my CC buddies here to answer all my questions. Thanks.
Not to rain on your parade (because the cake is beautiful) but are you sure the fresh flowers were okay to put on the cake. pesticides, etc can be very dangerous. Just a thought for future reference!
Rain away. Fresh flowers are used on wedding cakes all the time. I informed the bride of the risks involved and it was also stated in my contract that fresh flowers can contain bugs, dirt, pesticides, etc. Each flower was placed into a closed ended straw as to not contaminate the cake. Yes, I realize the flowers are still touching the cake, but that was a risk the bride was willing to take.
It's absolutely breathtaking -- and I'm not just saying that, I actually gasped when I scrolled down to the photo!!!!
Thank you for all the nice responses!!! It's funny how we are our own worst critics. I was shaking in my skin transporting it, and it was only just down the street. I used SPS (don't get me started) on the bottom cake and the rest was just bubble tea straws. If I do a cake this big again I think I will have to rethink my support system. But, all is well that ends well, and this did! I 'ruined' the bottom of my buttercream stacking too, but you couldn't really tell in the end. Thanks for all the nice comments and to all those that helped me. You all are awesome.
