Sorry about all the q's. I think this is the last one. Cakes are in the oven right now and will be frosting tomorrow and decorating sometime in the evening. Question is.. How do I place fabric ribbon on a cake decorated with crusting buttercream? how do I get it to stay? Thanks so much for all your help!

I use a scrapebook adhesive roller,(very sticky and flat) just at the seam.
My ribbon overlaps about an inch.

I pre-grease my ribbon. This insures no spots or discoloration from the buttercream and it helps to stay in place. I use a dab of royal icing also on the ends to hold in place. Now fondant I don't pre-grease. Just apply and same thing on the ends with the royal icing.
