I just finished icing the bottom tier of my wedding cake due tomorrow, and it's developing a bulge icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

WHY?? I did everything right! I spackled and crumbcoated last night and let it 'rest', I piped a stiff dam. What the H? So frustrating. thumbsdown.gif

if it is the bottom tier of the cake and will be covered, poke a good size (smaller than a dime) hole in the top and let it rest, that should help with releasing any air that has built up. it works for me. good luck and i hope everything goes smooth!!!!!
