A friend of mine is throwing a party for her hubby and his favorite food is turkey legs so she wants me to make him one out of cake. I don't have any special pans so any suggestions on how I can make one? Thanks!

A roasted turkey or a "live" turkey?

Before Thanksgiving I did a roasted turkey. I shaped the legs out of cake ball mixture and froze them. Once frozen I brushed melted chocolate all around them so that they would keep their shape. Then covered with buttercream just like the rest of the cake. Essentially the legs were cake balls.

take a wonder mold cake and mate it to a soccer ball pan cake. then add a disposable plastic pillar covered in fondant for the bone part.
